| During his high school years, given his interest in cars, he assisted many a friend with rebuilding, modifying and customizing several vehicles which gave him the exposure and the "hands-on" experience relative to design, maintainability, performance, tools, equipment and special tooling required to do a job properly. Prior to his enlistment in the U.S. Navy, Mike moved on from the 1941 Ford, to 1957 Cadillac, then a 1954 DeSoto and finally a 1952 Chevrolet Sedan Deluxe. After completing his military enlistment, he re-entered college part time while employed by a commercial division of TRW. In this position, he had intensive exposure to the newly emerging Solid State ignition technology. During his tenure at TRW, Mike was fortunate to be able to purchase a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6. This car was a model year car and was his first exposure to a truly high performance vehicle. As is in the past, Mike performed most maintenance and naturally upgraded several performance factors. Mr. Miller's strong suits are derived from the integration of his engineering and program management experiences which focused on customer focused support, product and program planning, design for manufacturing and maintainability, program and product implementation, and major strengths in financial and technical management. In past two (2) years, he has assisted Mr. John Mays in the restoration and re-manufacture of a 1935 Ford Tudor Sedan, which has received two (2) Best in Class Awards at Hot Rod Cruise Shows in the Riverside, CA area. Mr. Miller maintains a constant presence and active participation with all activities as related to JTM's Hot Rod Shop as the Project Engineering consultant and contributes to the team effort as a "hands-on" builder and fabricator. |
